Confused about when to use "high" and "tall"? Watch this short video to learn the difference between these adjectives and master their usage in various contexts. Boost your English vocabulary and speak confidently! Here is a transcript of the video to help you follow along: Today I want to talk about "tall" and "high." Both these words are adjectives, and we use them to talk about the height of something, but we do use them in different contexts. For example, if something is "high," there is a large distance between the bottom and the top of it. For example, the house is surrounded by a high fence, or ladies' shoes can have high heels. We also use "high" when there is a large distance between the ground or the surface of something and the top of the object. For example, the shelf is too high. I can't reach it. We can also use it to say how big the distance is from the top to the bottom of something or how far above the ground something is. For example, "How high is it?" "It's about 10 meters high." Now, "tall" means something or someone has a greater than-average height. We always talk about people being tall or not tall. We also talk about buildings and trees being tall. I hope that helps.
